The Chroniclers Community is searching for solutions to problems related to the consumption of goods and services including, but not limited to food, beverage, apparel, tobacco, housing, energy, transportation, electronics, insurance, financial advice etc.
The Solutions Framework is useful for outlining a problem and follows this format:
Problem Identification
Determining if the use of ethanol is efficient.
Why We Care?
We need to know if the benefits of ethanol as an additive in gasoline out weigh the associated costs so we can make informed decisions about employing our limited resources for the highest and best use.
Who is Hurt/Helped?
Agricultural interests stand to benefit through taxpayer subsidies and the rise in mostly corn prices. Alternative sources of energy are hurt as bio fuels increase in use.
Origin of the Problem
The ever-increasing demand for energy to fuel the growth of the world economy juxtaposed with the scarcity of energy sources resulting from natural and man made causes.
Is the Problem Critical?
This problem will continue to intensify as ever larger populations of the world advance to the middle class.
