If solving problems is important to you then you may have found a home at ChroNews. At ChroNews problems are categorized into eight broard areas including Clash, Consume, Govern, Heal, Play, Train, Work, and Worship. If you happen to be particularly adept at Chronicling some of our thornier issues, the Chronilcers Community could honor you with a Wise Chronicler Award, which is indicative of an individual’s (or Group’s) level of expertise at identifying and solving problems as measured by Community members.
Wise Chronicler Awards are given for solutions to private problems when the Solution Seeker is satisfied with the proposed solution and for public problems when the number of Chroniclers addressing a shared problem exceeds seven (7) and a majority agree the proposed solution(s) are meritorious.
 Black Vested Wise Chronicler Awards go to those who generate the greatest community support for a solution to a significant shared problem.
Brown Vested Awards go to those who generate the second highest level of community support for a solution to a significant shared problem. White Vested Awards go to those who generate the third highest level.
Wise Chronicler Award recipients can be individuals or Groups.
Cash 4 Advice Awards are given to Chroniclers for superlative advice. These awards are underwritten by companies or organizations who are determined to be part of the solution to shared problems by becoming Solutions Sponsors.
During the Alpha phase the Cash 4 Advice amounts will be $50.00 for First prize, $25.00 for Second Prize and $10.00 for Third, all based on the Community's evaluation of a posited solution.
At the close of Alpha (when the number of Solutions Sponsors reaches 100), the Chroniclers Community will devote ninety-five (95%) percent of the revenue from all the "above the fold" ads to a pool from which the Cash 4 Advice Awards will be drawn.
Additionally, Solution Sponsors can pledge up to $25,000.00 for a Cash 4 Advice Award for solving a specific problem the company has sponsored.
If you do not see your favorite organization in the Directory of Solutions Sponsors, perhaps you should ask them why. Maybe, if you give them a little encouragement they will decide to be part of the solution.
Every Chronicler who enrolls an organization in the Search for Solutions Partnership will receive fifteen (15%) percent of the amount the organization invests to become a partner. That works out to somewhere between $20.00 and $150.00, depending on the Solution Sponsors Enrollment Level.

Why a Collaborative Community?
The Community relies on a collaborative effort from people like you for solving problems because there is far greater wisdom in the people then in any Council of the "Wise".
Before the advent of the collaborative internet, precious little in the world was accomplished without significant financial resources. The Chroniclers Community employs a unique revenue model, one that might attract millions in Venture Capital. The problem with so much money coming from just a handful of individuals is the other golden rule.
He who has the gold - rules.
If you are trying to create an independent, truly non-biased news organization such concentrated power might just be a bit counterproductive.
If you think a venture capitalist or billionaire funding his own "news" organization is going to put up millions without insisting on control, you could be the next proud owner of a very famous bridge.
Funding this news revolution with Venture Capital was rejected because it would only create what we already have too much off - media under the control of a few. How has that worked so far?
You might view the reliance on a Collaborative Community of Chroniclers as a blessing if you agree with the premise in James Surowiecki's The Wisdom of Crowds, Yochai Benkler's The Wealth of Networks and countless others who have written about the folly of relying on a small group of elites to choose the solutions to shared problems
So What's the Problem?
Actually, when it comes to problems we need to step back a moment and realize there are really only three problems.
Problem number one is a failure to recognize a problem (how long will we fail to see them coming). Problem number two is the failure to match the right solution to the real problem (think Congressional solutions). Problem number three is the failure to uncover the root cause of the problem (guaranteeing it will reappear).
These are the same three fundamental problems troubling humankind from the beginning. Chroniclers refer to this approach to problems as the "three problem framework".
ChroNews is a community of serious thinkers and problem solvers determined to anticipate, identify and solve shared problems through Non Partisan Pursuit of Truth®. We are Chroniclers.
There are several ways you can become a Chronicler, i.e. someone who chronicles the events that caused a problem and/or proposes a solution to a specific problem.
You can create a group (or join an existing group) in our Chroniclers Community where like mined individuals coalesce around specific topics offering solutions to problems.
This is the best course of action if you hope to win either a Wise Chronicler Award or a Cash 4 Advice Award.

What is the Three Problem Framework?
As you participate in the Chroniclers Community please keep the “three problem framework” described above in mind. It starts with identifying the real problem. No matter how elegant the solution, if the real problem has not been identified, nothing is solved
Once we have identified the real problem we have to attack it with the right solution. Confronting the real problem with the wrong solution compounds the problem.
Even if, through ingenuity or blind luck we identify the real problem and match it with the right solution, the problem is likely to crop up again if we fail to identify what actually caused the problem. Success comes when society deals appropriately with all three fundamental problems. That's the role of the Chroniclers Community.
Why a Three Problem Framework?
Reducing all the world’s problems down to just three is good. Good because, although we cannot solve all the ills of the world instantaneously, a community of truth seeking problem solvers (Chroniclers) can make better progress if the “three problem framework” is consistently utilized in identifying problems and positing solutions.
The Truth

As it turns out, the three fundamental problems have something in common. They are characterized by either an absence of truth or an unwillingness to accept truth. Follow the blood red thread through history and we find resistance to truth, misjudgments, misunderstandings, half-truths and out right lies at center stage in every human caused problem.
A foundational premise here in the Chroniclers Community is that truth is knowable. Of course, we recognize, at any given time we may not be in possession of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Moreover, we always answer emphatically “Yes” to the Truth Seekers Question, i.e. “If what you believe were not true would you want to know?”
Indeed, the health of any community depends upon a truthful assessment of the problems and issues affecting community members. The question is who can we rely on to truthfully identify real problems and offer the best solutions?
We humbly offer ChroNews as a tool for people who are not content to sit idly by, but feel compelled to help solve shared problems through Non Partisan Pursuit of Truth®. That is what being a Chronicler is all about.
We emphasis “non-partisan” because no single group has a monopoly on truth. Additionally, partisanship can have a tendency to obscure potentially beneficial solutions if the solution does not happen to promote a partisan’s core cause(s).
Now that does not mean you must be non partisan to participate at ChroNews. If you are passionately partisan please join the community and share why you believe what you believe. Community members, whether they lean right, left or center are open minded because they are searching for solutions to our shared problems.
Some Chroniclers will excel at identifying problems; others will be adept at postulating effective solutions, while others are adroit at uncovering root causes. Our collaborative approach to solutions is premised on the belief Somebody Knows Something®. To those in the “know” we beseech you to share your wisdom with the world by:

If identifying and solving shared problems through Non Partisan Pursuit of Truth® appeals to you, we encourage you to join our community of truth seeking Chroniclers. You could become a Wise Chronicler Award winner.

Think of the Black Vested Wise Chronicler Award as evidence the recipient's problem detecting and solving skills have been evaluated by the Community and found to be superlative. Equate it to the "Black Belt" worn by one who has mastered the martial arts. Wise Chronicler Award recipients can be individuals or Groups.
Cash 4 Advice Awards are given out weekly to the top three Chroniclers (or Groups) who generate the most discussion about a specific problem.

The Rules
Wise Chronicler Awards are given out daily whenever the number of Chroniclers addressing the same shared problem exceeds thirty-five (35). The Black Vested Award goes to the Chronicler (or Group) who generates the highest amount of discussion on the specific problem,
Superlative Chroniclers can earn Cash 4 Advice Awards underwritten by Solution Sponsors who want to be a part of the solution to shared problems.
During the Alpha phase at ChroNews the Cash 4 Advice Awards will be funded by Chronicler0 and, for the budgetary reasons noted above, will be limited to $50.00 for First prize, $25.00 for Second Prize and $10.00 for third prize based on the level of discussion generated.
At the close of Alpha, the Chroniclers Community will devote ninety-five (95%) percent of the revenue from all the "above the fold" ads from Sponsors who have enrolled in the "Search for Solutions Program" (SSP) to a pool from which the Cash 4 Advice Awards will be drawn.
At the close of Alpha (when the number of Solutions Sponsors reaches 100), the Chroniclers Community will devote ninety-five (95%) percent of the revenue from all the "above the fold" ads to a pool from which the Cash 4 Advice Awards will be drawn.
